Heavy-Duty Knuckle-Over Steering Conversion Kit for Jeep TJ, LJ, XJ, and MJ Models

Heavy Duty Steering Kit for stock Dana 30 and Rubicon Dana 44 Axles. Our Knuckle Over Steering kit is designed with a solid tie rod mounted on top of the knuckle arms to gain clearance and eliminate toe in change as the suspension cycles like the factory Y link causes. This steering can be mounted over the knuckle for the most ground clearance or under the knuckle. It is not a 100% bolt on kit and does require drilling of the knuckle arms to 3/4″ hole, trimming the spring buckets slightly and relocating sway bar tabs and track bar bracket. The pitman arm needs to be tapered larger for the large GM rod end or we sell a replacement already tapered. Our design uses offset 7/8×3/4 rod ends to account for differential cover clearance without the need for bending the tubing. We also use a dual threaded adjuster on the driver side to make toe in adjustments super easy. Our drag link attaches to the tie rod with a 7/8×3/4 rod end centered over the tubing with two large tabs, this reduces the “dead spot” that offten occurs with some other kits out there when a rod end is mounted to the side of another rod end and causes the tie rod to rock up and down when steered left to right. This steering setup gives even short wheelbase Jeeps a nice tight but smooth and comfortable feel going down the road. No more chasing the wheel back and forth.
